“Hi” from the Family at Rosehaven!

Hey Rosehaven Family!  It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced us as a family with our puppers here on the homestead, so I thought I would get you up-to-date on who we are, what we do and how we love our dogs here in Colville, Washington.

My name is Jenni. I’m one of the 9 kids raised on our 42 acres of beautiful countryside up by the tip of Washington. The family works hard together to grow and process their own food, harvest their own orchard, and care for the farm animals. While I am the one who keeps y’all updated on what goes on around here, the entire family is involved with our puppies and what we do on the homestead. Kids grow up, and roles change, but we are thankful for the property and peace to do what we love.

Our kennel program started way back in 2015 with the first pair of beagles owned by my brother and I. Dixie and Daisy were our first ever dogs, and it took some before we got into breeding. We had to learn all there was to know about beagle nature first! That was the start of the beagle side of Rosehaven. My sister decided she was more of a golden girl and brought home the first Golden Retriever, Lady! We have been raising Goldens and Beagles since then!

While we all know beagles are the best,(speaking as a beagle lover), there has always been competition in our house to prove it. Sadly this may never be resolved as they are both amazing family dogs!

Since our first litter of pups, we knew we had certain principles as a family when it came to raising our puppies.  We cared first and foremost about raising the best family dogs! This goes along with our desire to raise beautiful pups as well. The best family dogs have a perfect temperament, and look good too!!
Each and every Beagle and Golden here on the homestead is fully registered, and DNA tested with champion bloodlines in our studs and some girls. My boy Dante is starting his show career this summer. So I know the pups are gorgeous like their parents. However, a perfect temperament comes not only from genetics, but how they are raised. This is a Rosehaven priority.

Toenail Trimming!

Each litter of pups is whelped in our home and is monitored daily.  The puppies don’t leave their mothers till a minimum of 8 weeks old. Mothers teach their pups a lot about manners and inter-dog relations.  During their time here with the family, they are exposed to both outdoor and indoor living with plenty of kid interaction.   The beagles go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) which helps prepare them for whatever comes from being part of a family adventure.

Because we put so much effort into our pups, we care where they go. I’m personally in charge of connecting Rosehaven pups with families, so I do have an application process. I will call and talk with you. I  want to get to know you and your family to make sure our puppy really is the best fit!

While you are sharing with me I am totally willing to share back! Feel free to call me any time with puppy questions. I Facetime/Whatsapp potential families whenever they ask, and our home is open to those wanting to visit and choose out their pup.

Once you’re part of our Rosehaven puppy family, you’re family! I stay connected with our puppy family through Facebook and Instagram and we all share updates on our Puppy Family Facebook page. If any family has a sad turn of events and needs a new home for one of our pups they should come to us first.  We are always willing to take back any pup- Please come here first!

We love our family and our dogs, we live the best life here on our Washington homestead, working, striving for quality, but above all doing all to the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
